Yokote's Bon Festival

During the Edo period “”Great Famine of Tian Ming”” a lot of starvation people came out and it is said that shedding a boat ship at Snakezaki Kawahara to support the spirits of those people.
In the evening of August 16 th, a houseboat is carried by 15 to 16 young people, starting with a high-tension lantern for each town, and crosses the Snake-nakazaki bridge and reaches Kawahara. At this time, the saisai bean sticks after the ya – ya boat, and it freshly boasts the festival with haste. The boat is crowded with competing for the leaders and repeated crash and so on.
