Akita Jyumonji Film Festival

It is a film festival that started in 1992 with the aim of creating opportunities to watch movies on the screen and exchanging through movies. Originally it was a literally handmade film festival by volunteers, but now it has grown into an event that represents the whole country. Every time we invite a variety of guests, we are doing young director’s work, Asian movies, topical work of Japanese movies, screening of undisclosed work etc. Guest talks and cinema parties are also held, and exchanges with guests are also being made.
